NAMHSCA provides a strong voice for lived experience to provide strategic direction and leadership into service planning and evaluation at a national level
Purpose
We help to ensure health services are designed and organized around the needs and preferences of those who use them. The purpose of NAMHSCA is to provide national agencies and organisations access to consolidated lived experience perspectives from Consumer Advisors (or equivalent roles). We also provide aroha and manaaki for each other in the challenging spaces we work in.
Vision
NAMHSCA’s aim is to support and inform consumer advisors and equivalent roles in their work within Health New Zealand and/or Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) by providing opportunities for members to:

share relevant resources with each other

identify and comment collectively on relevant international, national, regional and locality issues

receive information collectively from other national agencies and organisations

allow collective responses to matters raised by national agencies and organisations
